The Foundation of Power: The Great Vault and Catalyst Charges
The first stop for any adventurer after the weekly reset is the Great Vault in Dornogal. This is your primary reward for the efforts of the previous week, and it sets the stage for your gearing progress. If you successfully completed a Mythic+ Keystone at level 10 or higher, you will be rewarded with a Mythic item-level piece in the dungeon section of your vault. This is a significant power boost and a critical first step for the week.
Once you’ve selected your Great Vault reward, your next thought should be the Revival Catalyst, located in Dornogal. This powerful machine allows you to convert eligible non-tier gear into powerful tier set pieces, unlocking game-changing set bonuses. Using a high item-level piece from your vault is often the best way to acquire a Mythic-level tier piece early in the season.
The Catalyst operates on a system of charges, represented by Athereal Void Splinters. While most players will be earning their second charge this week through the standard weekly quest, it’s possible to have acquired an additional charge, allowing for faster tier set completion. This extra charge comes from completing the “Void Victor” achievement, which can be earned in one of three ways:
- Achieving a 1,600 rating in Rated PvP.
- Defeating the final raid boss, Demensius, on Heroic or Mythic difficulty.
- Reaching a Mythic+ rating of 2,000.
World Encounters: The World Boss and Rare Mounts
With your vault sorted, it’s time to turn your attention to the open world of Khaz’Algar, which holds guaranteed loot and several opportunities for rare mounts.
Renor the World Boss
Located in Khash, the world boss Renor offers a guaranteed piece of loot once per week. To participate, simply fly to his location, and a prompt will appear on your screen allowing you to automatically find a group. The fight is typically a large-scale, laggy affair, but the reward is well worth the chaos. Upon defeating Renor, you will receive a 688 item-level piece of Champion gear. It is important to note that this gear is Warband-bound, and it is not guaranteed to be the correct armor type for your character; you could receive cloth, leather, plate, or mail regardless of what you wear. However, it is a free and easy way to acquire high-level gear each week.
Rare Mount Farming
Khash is also home to several rare NPCs that have a chance to drop unique mounts.
- Pearlescent Glimmerscale: This mount is a drop from Herag, a rare NPC located in the Phase-Diving zone of Khash. You have one chance to kill and loot this rare
per day, making it a consistent farm you can work on throughout the week. While the drop is rare, it is not excessively so, and persistent farming should yield results. - Stubbs’ Lost Lunch: This distinct mount has a weekly chance to drop from the rare NPC Stubbs. Stubbs spawns high in the sky within the Oasis area, also in a Phase-Dived version of the zone. To reach him, you must first enter the phase conduit in the Oasis and then use the provided cloak ability at the portal to ascend to his platform. Be warned, the fight involves dodging powerful laser beams, and the boss hits very hard.
Khash Weeklies: Warrants, Ecology, and Phase-Diving
A significant portion of your weekly activities will revolve around the various quests and progression systems within Khash.
Weekly Warrant and the Terror of the Night Mount
In Tazesh, you can pick up a weekly warrant quest from Constable Zardes. Each week, the warrant targets a different rare NPC. After completing a short prerequisite quest chain, you will receive a lure for the specific rare, whose location will be marked on your map. Once you defeat the target and turn in the warrant, you will receive an Ethereal Strand and progress toward an achievement. This achievement requires completing six unique warrants in Khash. This is the third week of the season, meaning players who have been consistent are now halfway through. Completing all six warrants will award the coveted Terror of the Night mount.
Ecological Succession and the Curious Slateback Mount
The Oasis area is home to the weekly quest “Ecological Succession,” which rewards the Wriggling Pinnacle Cache. This cache has a random chance to contain another mount, the
Curious Slateback. Simply completing the associated quests will not be enough to fill the 100% progress bar. To reach 100%, you must engage in additional activities around the Oasis:
- Interact with mounds of “Torn Up Earth” for a small percentage gain.
- Activate “Data Collection Drones” scattered throughout the area.
- Fish in designated spots to catch Hydrobites; each fish caught grants 1% progress.
“More Than Just a Phase” and Untethered Coin Mounts
This weekly quest can be picked up from Constable Zardes and requires you to complete activities within Phase-Diving until a progress bar reaches 100%. It’s wise to pick this quest up early, as many other activities contribute to it. Progress can be earned from several sources:
- Phase-Diving World Quests: Completing these provides a solid 12% progress.
- Phase-Lost Treasures: These chests spawn frequently throughout the zone. Opening one grants about 7% progress.
- Rare NPCs: Killing rares found within Phase-Diving also contributes around 7% progress.
Completing this quest awards 7 Untethered Coins. This currency can be used to purchase two mounts. With the 7 coins from last week and the 7 from this week, players will have a total of 14, which is enough to buy both available mounts.
- Acidic Voidcreeper: Costs 7 Untethered Coins.
- Lavender Goreshell: Costs 10 Untethered Coins.
Devourer Events and the Translocated Gorger Mount
Throughout the week, Devourer events will become active at four locations in Khash. It is highly recommended to use an add-on like Rare Scanner to track when and where these events are active. Alternatively, server-wide announcements are made in the chat log. The goal is to defend the area from waves of enemies until a final rare NPC spawns, which you must defeat.
The main reason to complete these events is to collect Devoured Energy Pods, which are looted from the final rare NPC. You can obtain a maximum of four pods per week. After collecting a total of 20 pods over five weeks, you can turn them in to create the
Translocated Gorger mount. Players who have kept up since the start of the season will be able to collect up to 12 pods by the end of this week.
Dungeons, Delves, and Renown
Instanced content remains a cornerstone of weekly progression, offering powerful gear and essential resources.
Delve Activities and Cloak Upgrades
You should aim to complete at least one Delve per week to obtain a quest item for Brann Bronzebeard. For gearing purposes, focus on completing Tier 8 or higher Bountiful Delves. These reward Gilded Crests (up to three times per week) and guarantee a Champion-level item in the final chest.
Delves are also the primary source of Ethereal Strands, a currency used to upgrade your Khaz’algan Wraps legendary cloak. You can collect three strands per week. The fastest way to do this is to run three quick Tier 1 Delves, as each completion awards a strand from the final chest. With all three strands for the week, head to the cloak upgrader in Khash, Hashim, and empower your wraps. This week, you can unlock the “What Lies Beyond” tier, which allows you to see hidden treasures in Phase-Diving and upgrades your cloak to a formidable 720 item level.

Mythic+ Progression
The Mythic+ grind continues to be a central part of gearing. This week, your goals should be:
- Complete at least one Keystone level 10 to ensure a Mythic item-level choice in your Great Vault next week.
- If you can’t push to 10, aim for at least level 6, as this will reward a Heroic item-level piece from the end-of-dungeon chest.
- Pushing level 7 and above will begin rewarding Gilded Crests, which are essential for crafting high-level gear.
Weekly Renown Quest
In Dornogal, pick up the weekly quest from Beergrath that offers a choice of rewards, including a token for 1,500 renown with the Khash Trust. The quest requires you to complete a specific dungeon, such as the Darkflame Cleft. This can be done quickly and easily by using the Follower Dungeon system, allowing you to complete it solo.
Crafting and Raid Progression
Finally, capitalize on your weekly crafting spark and the opening of a new raid wing.
Crafting Your Second Powerful Item
This week, players will receive two more Fractured Sparks of Starlight, which can be combined into a full Spark of Starlight. This allows you to craft a second powerful 720 item-level piece of gear. Crafting such an item requires 60 Gilded Crests, so be sure to save them for this purpose before upgrading other gear. To ensure a maximum quality craft, you will need to purchase Enchanted Gilded Ethereal Crests from the vendor in Dornogal and find a skilled crafter. Use a personal or guild work order and set the minimum quality to the highest rank; this guarantees you receive a 720 item-level item and prevents the crafter from making a lower-quality version. Avoid using public orders for high-end crafts, as you cannot set a minimum quality.
Raid Finder Wing 2
For those progressing through the latest raid, the second wing of the Raid Finder, “Monstrosities of the Sand,” is now available to queue for. This is a great way to see the content, supplement your gear, and potentially get a piece to convert into a tier set. Thanks for reading this amazing WoW Boost Guide.
